“She walks in beauty” is the title of our Haute Couture Bridal Collection 2019. The collection takes it’s name from a poem by Lord Byron described by some as his best known poem. This collection marks the unveiling of our exclusive and luxurious haute couture bridal wear.
The collection is our most striking and quaint yet but remains quaint and timeless too. Nature, culture and travel are a constant influence with me, and this time my focus landed on oriental fashion, which I hope Iv’e filtered through my own sensibilities and reinterpreted somewhat. I also had in my mind thoughts of being at one with nature and the freedom to explore your own unique style- though these influences are, of course, quite subtle!
I like to empower my brides to seek what I would describe as alternative options to traditional bridal wear, and trends to reject the idea of seasonal trends in favour of individual taste, I had a special bride with Dementia who was the first to try this collection, this elder woman was so proud and in love with the construction and beauty of the fabrics as she never felt something like it, look in the website of https://homecareassistance.com/blog/can-prevent-alzheimers if you have a family member that needs help. This collection features slips, overlays, separates, gowns and accessories, with each piece designed to give a soft, fluid sense of movement through drapery and intricate detail. Its a collection that’s gently flattering to the silhouette, and subtly romantic. The construction of our undergarments and lightweight corsetry is the foundation upon which all the experimental drapery and textured layering are built. There’s a romantic and vintage feel to these gowns that’s elegant and flattering without being ‘typically wedding’, and would suit the sort of bride I love- those who are brave, individual and powerful.
This beautiful lace gown features a chantilly lace overlay with finely gathered cap sleeve and a form fitting bodice, waisted and a drop lace skirt to the bottom hip. The Peony slip is 100% silk and lined in silk habotai, the colour is warm champagne and is simple in shape, straight skirt and slight ‘v’ shaped neckline into delicate thin straps.

The back is also ‘V’ in shape but sits lower than the bust line and is also finished with the embroidered leaf edging the fabrics falls beautifully to a modest length train.

Our beautiful Vanna is a soft and fluid gown with our ‘oriental’ inspirations shinning through in the design details. The fabric is a geometric dot and cross tulle pattern, it is ever so fine with a chantilly floral contrast trim. The sleeves are subtly oversized at the elbow line with the consistency of the chantilly trim edging. The back is open with the chantilly floral edging not meeting at the centre back seam. There’s a fastening at the back skirt of a series of pearls.

Lili is fashion forward for a seriously modern elegant bride with possibly a daring/edgy side! Lili is a halter neck in shape curved down to a low back! and the neck is fastened with a heavy satin tie which hangs down the centre back. The gown is straight in shape with a small puddle train. A seriously fun gown if you want to make a statement on your wedding day and make your own traditions!
The Iris gown is beautifully understated and simply romantic. This gown is effortless but with impact in the series of drapes from both sides of the body meeting to the lower hip. The additional details of the french double edge trim and a large effective cowl draped back is pure chic.
The gown is made of a English cotton tulle, you can wear Iris with the iris slip which comes in ivory or champagne, the champagne slip will offer vintage, alternative feel with the draping showing through and the ivory would be more of a classic choice but will maintain an overall vintage feel.
The Bellflower is a beautiful overlay gown with a vast amount of detail and intricacy to appreciate. The main feature on the front of the gown is the large embroidered floral pieces, very textured and intricate. The floral embroidery pieces all join link together in a swirling pattern. The gown is a simple narrow ‘A’ line shape with a boat neck neckline. The neckline is finished with a soft chatilly trim with a large triangular scalloping which is then sewn along the ‘V’ back to be fastened with a series of pear buttons. The back also has a lovely draped cowl cape fastened from the shoulder seam to add some fluidity to the gown.
The bellflower gown can be worn with the Ivory or champagne ‘Iris’ slip.
One of our most intricate gowns with a vast amount of detailing and so many unique elements to this gown but it all works so beautifully together! The ‘Blanketflower’ is such an appropriate name as the large embroidery flower piece with beadwork is wrapped around the bodice like a blanket, we could not have found a more appropriate name. This gown is strapless with a lightweight but intricate corset, the corset stitch lines are finished on top of the corset, the tulle was hand draped under the stitch marks. This gown has a plunging neckline with the embroidery carefully hand sewn above. The bodice also features a vine of crystal and delicate organza flowers, these details follow the vine of the larger embroidered piece. The skirt is straight in shape with a puddle train in a bias cut silky satin bias. Over that layer is a gathered tulle from one side to another draped all the way to the hem. The back skirt is also gathered and draped but all from the centre back where it meets down the centre back seam. The gown is then fastened from the centre back bodice with satin and tulle covered buttons.
Our beautiful set of separates, the beaded georgette silk cami top with statement crystal and pearl motifs and the tulle glitter speck skirt. What a lovely modern outfit! The ‘Plume’ cami top has a beautiful cowl at the front and then mirrored at the back with the straps as the feature in crystal, intricate beadwork and pearls.
The skirt is a contrast to the top in a moulded fuller shaped tulle with delicate gold glitter specs all over. Both pieces are hand finished with delicate pearl buttons.
With a slight 1920’s feel our Miya gown shares the same fabric as our Mercy gown, used in completely different ways. Our Miya gown is made of printed patterns of floral gold glitter stencilled on the soft ivory tulle. The neckline is ‘V’ in shape to a narrow shape at the shoulder and is finished with a very delicate and fine chantilly trim in ivory thread with a light gold cording through it. The trim is front the centre front to the centre back. The under-bust is adorned with a cold copper coloured beadwork trim which is covering a gathered seam. The shape falls from the undercuts to the bottom hip and is gathered again and adorned again in the beadwork trim. The hem layer of the gown is made of glitter speck tulle and offers a more moulding fall compared to the softer printed tulle.
The overdress is worn over a warm cream silky satin slip with a very low back and plunging ‘V’ neckline into narrow straps
One of our most ‘powerful’ pieces with a striking appeal! The Mercy gown is impeccable in fit with a tailored corset bodice shaped beautifully over the bust and waist. Mercy has a huge amount of impact in the contrast of the skirt to the bodice, the skirt which is heavy and moulding in volume has carefully shaped pleats to flatter and fall in its full shape. The fabric is printed patterns of floral gold glitter stencilled on the soft ivory tulle over a warm cream silky satin and a mikado underskirt for the shape. The gown is finished with the most beautiful heavy crystal motif in gold, silver and copper sitting at the centre front bodice. The gown is fastened with the gold printed tulle over the area satin.
The Honeysuckle dress is made in a selection of bronze and pale ivory colour. The bodice is the same as the Honeysuckle top but without the peplum and simply into a full ‘A’ line skirt. The sleeves are very complimentary to the Honeysuckle skirt because of it slight gathering only at the shoulder seam point. The Honeysuckle gown is finished with a crystal detailed trim adorning the waist and fastened with a series of pale bronze pearl buttons down the centre back seam.
The Honeysuckle top is made in a selection of bronze and pale Ivory colour. The top is influenced by the classic oriental cross of fabric on the bodice to let the waistline. Our lace scalloping edging crosses to meet the waist to bust darts where it sits neatly and is symmetrical. The lace edging is used heavily in may areas of this design with the edging sitting across a ‘v’ back into the centre back. The sleeved are narrow at the armhole into a larger slightly billowy shape. The waistline is finished with the lace edging as a peplum gathered and moulding from the neat waist. The top is finished with a crystal trim hand sewn around the waistline and fastened with a single hook and eye on the centre back.
Our Dora Separates offer a unique and individual look…
The Dora top is made of a beautiful satin backed crepe with subtle stretch and a luxurious feel. The top is a simple shaped crop with long sleeves and a open Triangular shaped back which at its widest point is at the waist revealing the lower back. The delicate features are the neat bust darts to give shape along with soft gathers on the top of the sleeve. The gathers are sewn into the armhole to give slight volume on the upper arm.
The Dora skirt is made of the fabulous ivory large Sequin with a reflective but subtle shine. Very reflective and effective with any light. The skirt is a straight ‘A’ line with some volume at the bottom, the skirt is full of weight with the sequins sounding and feeling very textured, the sequins are lined with the satin backed crepe with the same satin used along the waistline for support. The skirt is fastened with a concealed zip for a plush finish.
Our flute cape is understated and romantic, the perfect accessory to a simple shape gown. The intricate details come from the delicately beaded georgette fabric with a series of ivory and glass beads hand-sewn in a random pattern. The overall effect is a beautiful reflective luxurious finish. The cape offers some weight in its beaded finish and the shaping is delicately fluted along the bust line to meet the back which has a triangular shape back which is fastened on the back neckline.
Limar is one of our most intriguing laces, developed from the guipur floral laces from trends of last season, the Limar lace is a crochet to guipur lace in a large geometric pattern from the bust line to the hem. The neckline offers a unique detail in which the lace has been removed and re applied by being hand sewn onto a tulle to offer a more modern “illusion’ finish where the lace continues around the neckline to a striking centre back detail, triangular in shape in a series to the waistline. Limar is one of our more bohemian styles with its crochet like lace but guitar by name and a straight relaxed shape. The gown is finished with a beautiful series of pearl buttons from the upper back neckline to the upper back hip line. The Limar gown is worn over a sandwashed crepe slip, cut on the bias and open on the neckline to meet the shoulders with narrow spaghetti straps. The slip is straight in shape and offers a relaxed bridal feel to go with the Limar overlay perfectly.
