The Mariana gown is utterly glamorous it has a beautiful pearl tulle overlay that has carefully selected pleats on each side of the centre front of the gown which is also the fastening at the centre front. The centre front which opens and is put on like a coat has a lovely drape and layering of volume from the pleats at the waist which also gives shape over the bust to the floor which glides to each side when walking. The main feature apart from the scattered pearl tulle is the very 1930’s motif, diamond in shape with the most intricate and interesting textures.
The back is simple in silhouette and features a soft cowell and the neck draping down the the mid back. The underlay which is essentially a slip is ‘V’ neck mirrored from the front to the back. It has a simple A line shape with lovely pearl buttons as fastenings at the centre back.
