Amy Mair During the Event

I am writing this 1 week after my return flight from Munich, I woke up this morning with an alarm set for 5.15am from the previous week ready to leave my hotel at 6am and get to the (most complicated) Airport. On a personal note I achieved so much during this event from travelling solo to a new country I hadn't vsited before to organising and preparing the space ready for the event to begin the very next day. I had the help of a lovely photographer Franzi during the event and Franzi captured so many wonderful moments with her empathetic and considered photography skills. The Amy Mair Couture | Munich Showcase was a thoroughly successful experience, a moment of growth for me personally and for the Amy Mair Couture brand.

A Three Day Event with 16 Brides-to-be

Exploring all that makes these brides smile, from the journey of each gown and how it is analysed to how it feels. Beyond all else the journey each bride experienced to dicsover the 'one' was truly wonderful, a joy to whitness and an emotional one for the bride and their friends and family. This moment that I got to whitness with these wonderful people felt like a signifant moment in their lives and their memories entering into marriage. Being engaged is an exciting moment full of anticipation, choosing your wedding dress is almost more of a significant moment than setting a date, choosing your wedding dress places you in that mental position of your wedding day, it takes you to that place to that day and is an emotional moment as part of our wonderful journey through life.

Thank you to all of the wonderful brides that allowed me to share their moment and trusting, connecting and falling in love with my designs and as an extension me. Thank you for all of the wonderful comments and compliments on the gowns... These comments and moments so true and authentic to each birdes experience personal in nature are not ones I would like to repeat, privacy is a wonderfull thing. But a Mother of the bride did comment that each gown was like a piece of art, this comment meant so much because as I evolve as a designer and work on my unique and individual qualities I consider my fine art history a powerful translation of how fashion/couture and art combine to create beautiful wearable pieces of art.
